Horror Colors

Ever since I was small, I found it boring that evil things in movies & cartoons are limited to the same handful of colors. In terms of color theory & association it makes sense; black for the darkness we fear, purple for the twilight that brings the dark (and corrupt royalty), green for the sickly, red for blood, orange for- Actually, I'm not sure why orange is a part of this. Fire maybe?

But there's so many other shades and hues that can work for evil themes! The blue of a drowned man, jaundice yellow, silver for the moonlight, and midnight blue. Go crazy with other shades of green, I dunno. Puke green, radioactive, sickly chartreuse, the possibilities are endless.

I dunno, go crazy, go stupid. Explore what scares you personally.

This isn't a genuinely angry rant, more of a ramble. I've been playing a horror modpack for minecraft & I'm so bored of the black, white, and red. There's a cool mod called The Deep Void that I've been liking so far. But it gets hard to progress without an elytra. Like why do I need desolate soil for so many things?? Why is it only found in like one biome? Windswept Hollow, when I find you I swear...

The mod can be real difficult, even though I play on keep inventory. It's really cool though, if not just to explore and see the spooky shit below the bedrock. The fleshy biomes are extra creepy.
