Thinking about web-page building. I have a Cult of the Lamb shrine cooking in the thinkpan, but have yet to put it into code. Maybe I'll do what I did with the blog CSS? Plan out the shapes & colors using a drawing program. Pull up references from the game & such. I usually don't do light backgrounds, but maybe I'll have it like the main menu? Then the text boxes could either have a cool border or maybe look like in-game speech bubbles? Or both? Hmmm...
A few hours later...
Whelp, I ended up doing it. If you (the reader) is reading this blog post as it comes out, you get a sneak peek at the page so far. I'll add the CotL shrine link to the actual shrine page once I get around to making a thumbnail for it. I tried messing with a web font, but ended up just going with Garamon Serif bc I tuckered myself out trying to wrangle the code.
It didn't help that for a while, I accidentally had the Spore shrine CSS open instead of the CotL shrine CSS on my browser. Not sure how long, as time is hard to measure in my head. But it was a frustrating realization to say the least. Like the coding version of realizing you've drawn on the wrong layer. But at least I got the bones set up. Thank goodness I downloaded the Spore CSS file just beforehand to move it into a folder.
Off I go to draw some neopets I have over on Grundos Cafe. Or not. Who knows what I'll feel like doing, honestly?
It's up to the stars at this point.
