End of Blaugust

Whelp, it's the last day of Blaugust. Even though I joined halfway through and like didn't really interact with others, I think I did good for my first time. I wasn't keen on joining their discord or anything, and only really interacted with other participants via neocities comments. If I join again in the future, I'll try and be a bit more sociable. :P

But the main reason I joined was to kick my ass in gear for developing my site a bit. I do the "Might as Well" method of getting things done. For example: "Oh I'm already in the kitchen doing the dishes, I might as well wipe down the counters" I figured if I started making blog pages, I'd develop the site more since I'm already editing it. Might as well code some CSS, or make a new shrine, or tweak a few pages, etc, etc...

Looking back through the updates, I did a decent amount of web building throughout the latter half of August. I'm real proud of myself for getting all that done. So in that way, I achieved my goal. Hell, as I was writing this, I ended up making a changelog page to illustrate my progress. I haven't worked on my website this much since October! I'm so proud of myself.

Sure, I could have joined some coding event to achieve the same effect, but I wanted the nudge to be inderect. To almost trick myself into working on my site. I don't want updating this to feel like a chore; not that blogging has been. After all, I do this for fun! If I wasn't having fun, I wouldn't have posted on those days I was feeling rotten. But I did, because it's something I genuinely enjoyed doing.

Anyhow, I'll keep blogging occasionally on here when ideas hit me. But for now, the daily posts shall come to a close. Stay tuned for any more yapping if you want. I'll still be here.

As for Blaugust, we'll see if I join next year!
