Sing a Song About Life

This is a fan page for the music artist Vylet Pony! Peep her own website for more info straight from the horses mouth! This will mostly be me rambling about how much I love her music.

One of her many fire tracks:

Vylet Pony, (it/she pronouns) AKA Zelda Trixie Lulamoon, Gwen, or Wolf, is a transfem music artist that uses imagery of My Little Pony to express her own stories. Whether that be headcannons, or entire worlds based on her own inner-turmoil. MLP isn't always used however; as with projects like Monarch of Monsters and some of her older works. Though even so, one doesn't have to be in the fandom to enjoy its music!

Themes can include breaking free from cringe, self-reflection, raging against an abusive parent, lamenting about a sibling once close, coming to terms with a toxic fandom, finding belonging in a new place, bittersweet nostalgia, learning self love, indulging in an old passtime with renewed love, media piracy, and so much more. Genres can include EDM, electro house, rock, metal, and a bazillion other genres in-between & beyond that I honestly don't know. It's one of those things that I can't describe well; other than "GOOD"

My Start

I first got into Zeldas music in late 2020, when I was scrolling my YouTube homepage. I saw a thumbnail of Pinkie Pie with a chainsaw, and the most intriguing title possible: LESBIAN PONIES WITH WEAPONS. And my mind was opened. I listened to that song on repeat, even made an OC around the sheer vibes of it. The song gave me hope, energy, and inspiration all in one.

Then, a bit later, I had a YouTube Mix in the background while I was drawing. When a rockin' song came on. Metal, and fire-themed lyrics. I looked at the window and was astonished. Daybreaker, a MLP themed metal song. I'd known about MLP fan-songs in the past, of course. I've been in the fandom since the first season finale aired. But the variety never really dawned on me, I guess. Then I noticed this was the same artist as the hyperpop song from before, and was immediately intrigued. If this artist has that kind of range, then what else is in store here?

Then I was hooked. Subscribed just in the middle of CUTIEMARKS, and was around for the release of Fish Whisperer. Each album released was a banger. But only when Carousel released was I truly taken. I haven't been this obsessed with an album since Twenty One Pilots released Trench. The sheer journey it took me on. The theme of self-reflection, and coming to terms with yourself. Truly magical all around, and with veriety to boot! The album got me to start listening off of youtube, and to discover Bandcamp as a means of listening to music. Though I didn't move off YouTube for music yet, the seeds were planted.

As of 2025, I listen exclusively on bandcamp and downloaded mp3 files. The artist encourages piracy, and listening to its music illegally. All the while supporting other artists on bandcamp. This got me into music piracy as a whole. I've always been for it, as I grew up with pirated movies on my stepdads Plex server. But doing it myself gives me such a proud feeling now. I gathered these files myself! From a combination of Internet Archive, ytmp3, and audiotrimmer. Then I use the open-source VLC app on my phone to listen to the files there, and make playlists.
